Ceremony

Chapel, garden, great hall.

Three places, three sizes, one day.

The ceremony

The ceremony has three options here — chapel, garden, great hall.

The chapel of St. Anne seats sixty and works for civil and religious ceremonies both. A ceremony in the orchard under the apple trees runs to one hundred fifty. The great hall is the indoor fallback for eighty when the weather turns.

You don't need to raise your voice in the chapel. The ceiling does it for you.

Common questions

Before you ask.

Who officiates?
Your celebrant or the local registrar from Škvorec. You can bring your own officiant; we have experience arranging the paperwork.
How long does the ceremony take?
Civil thirty minutes, religious depending on rite — usually forty-five minutes to an hour.
What about rain?
We move the ceremony indoors — chapel or great hall. The call is made forty-eight hours ahead.
Can we photograph the chapel?
Yes. No flash, no movement behind the altar during the ceremony itself. Other spaces are open.
Can we write our own vows?
Yes, in either or both languages. The celebrant rehearses the vows with you beforehand.
Live music or recorded?
The chapel acoustics carry live instruments well (piano, cello, violin). Garden ceremonies are amplified.
